Clean the band’s charging contacts and sensors regularly, and it will pay you back with long life and accurate measurements.
Read our cleaning manual to use your GoBe3 at max:
Don’t worry if the band’s charging contacts get wet. GoBe3 is protected from water, and the band can even be fully rinsed under a running tap. In addition, the smart band can be cleaned both when it is on and when it is off.
1. Dip a cotton swab with clean water
2. Apply a small amount of liquid soap to the tip of the cotton swab
3. Rub the swab until the soap foams and clean the back of the band thoroughly, washing all the parts below:
• sensors contacts
• optical sensors
• charging socket
• charging contacts
Be careful not to get any foam on the screen, as it has an oleophobic coating. If this happens, wipe the screen dry
4. Rinse the foam off under running tap, continuing to rub the surfaces with a cotton swab
5. Rinse again with water without using the cotton swab nor the detergent
6. Wipe the device dry thoroughly with a paper towel
7. Wipe the charging slot contacts and the inside of the rubber plug of the slot with a dry cotton swab
Great, now your smart band is clean and ready to go!
You can also clean the replaceable strap the same way for the sake of aesthetics. The main point is to avoid the foam getting onto the GoBe3 screen.
The following cleaning agents must never be used to clean GoBe3:
• chlorine-based detergents
• abrasives (any substances with small particles)
• excessively active alkaline products (for example, products for cleaning pipes, sinks, stoves)
Rubbing alcohol and alcohol wipes:
Alcohol can be used to clean almost all surfaces of the band, but it is not effective. Also, alcohol damages the oleophobic coating of the screen, so we recommend using soap or dishwashing detergent instead.
• Clean your smart band regularly – preferably once or twice a week.
• If you are active in sports or your GoBe3 gets dirty more often for other reasons, clean it as it gets dirty.
• If you are experiencing any charging problems, contamination may be a reason here too. Even a plaque that is hardly seen can affect the quality of charging.
• Clean your HEALBE GoBe3 until its surfaces are visually clear.
• By making sure that your GoBe3 is clean and dry each time you place it to a charge, you’re helping your GoBe3 work properly for you.
