The most accurate weighing is possible only with medical-grade scales (usually mechanical). Any usual scales, electric or mechanical, would have a slight inaccuracy. And even if your own scales have such an inaccuracy, you still can use them to monitor your weight dynamics. The most important thing in such conditions is to do a long-term analysis (weeks, months).
To achieve the best results while weighing, please, note the few following rules:
The best place for any scales is a flat non-slippery surface in the corner of a room not too far away from a wall to hold on if you lose balance. You may also drop a thin rubber carpet to exclude slipping. And do not put your scales onto carpets with thick pile!

Weigh yourself in the same clothes or totally without them, so that it doesn’t affect the results. If you use smart scales, follow the product manual to ensure good accuracy.

The best time for weighing is the morning, before you have any food or drinks and after you have empty intestines and bladder.

Try to weigh at the same time of the day, as biological rhythms of our body and our activity affect weight fluctuations during the day.

It is better to weigh periodically, with the same time between weigh-ins: once a day, thrice a day and so on. This way it would be much easier to track your weight dynamics, which is better seen throughout weeks and months.

Seasonal weight loss rate fluctuations are absolutely normal! Our body “saves” some fat before winter and starts to lose it actively after spring. That is why a constant and stable weight loss without changes is basically a myth.

Weigh yourself without leaning on anything. Set your legs symmetrically, hands being stretched along your body and head top straight upwards. Stand calm, before weight and other data are fixed.

Wrong body angle, asymmetrical hand or leg position, head bow – all that may shift the center of your body mass and lead to less accurate results.
