Congrats on your first two weeks with GoBe3!
We noticed that you have been syncing your GoBe3 less than usual lately.
To get an overall picture of your health, we recommend syncing at least once a day, but remember that syncing more than 3-5 times per day will reduce the battery life.
Also, try to wear the band for at least 20 hours a day for the most accurate results!
Basal metabolism is the amount of energy that your body uses at rest. It includes biological processes such as:
Breathing,
Blood circulation,
Maintaining body temperature,
Cell growth,
Muscle contraction,
Nervous-system and brain activity.
In fact, basal metabolism takes on average almost 70% of your daily calories even if you don’t move!
The exact amount depends on many factors, such as your age, gender, genetics, the functioning of your thyroid gland, etc.
Energy Balance
Energy Balance is the difference in the number of calories you have absorbed and burned.
GoBe3 shows your current Energy balance calculated as:
How does GoBe3 track your activity?
During a physical activity, the GoBe3 measures its intensity with an accelerometer and an optical sensor.
How it works: GoBe3 shines light onto your skin and then measures the amount of light reflected by blood vessels using a tiny camera in the sensor.
By analyzing the information received, the smart band detects your pulse.
This allows the GoBe3 to determine the intensity of your physical activity as accurately as possible.
Tracking Steps
It’s worth remembering that your steps are determined by an algorithm based on your height and motor activity. To ensure an accurate count, we recommend that you measure the length of your step and enter it in the application to reduce the likelihood of inaccuracy.
How to measure your step length:
1) Walk a few steps
2) Measure the distance covered
3) Divide it by the number of steps
4) Type in your step length into profile data in the HEALBE app .
Please note: The longer the distance you walk and the more consistent your pace is, the more accurate your step count is.
