Already making friends with your GoBe3? It’s time to learn more about its features. In this post, we’ll explain how to get the most out of GoBe3’s most popular feature, calorie counting.
You may have already seen our recommendation to wear your GoBe3 all the time except charging. Let’s figure out why the band can’t provide you with an accurate and complete calorie count from food and beverages without doing so.

GoBe3 counts calories using its bioimpedance sensor, which continuously measures resistance in tissues and cells. The band is constantly evaluating the movement of fluid, which is pushed out of the cells as they receive glucose. Based on this data, the band can calculate – how many calories you get from food and drinks.
This feature is the reason why users love GoBe3 so much – it counts only the calories that are really absorbed. This allows you to count your calories even more accurately than with food diaries – the nutrients listed on the package are not fully absorbed by the body.
As you have already understood, GoBe3 counts calories as they are uptaken by cells. That’s why it’s so important to wear the band all the time, except for charging. After all, even at night, our digestion continues to work.
A quick reference to digestion processes timing will help you understand when the calories will be absorbed by your body and counted by your GoBe3:
3-4 hours – processing food with gastric juice
4-8 hours – digestion process
5-9 hours, and in some cases more than 24 hours – the food is delivered to the absorption zone and useful nutrients get into the blood

Depending on the food composition, 90% of the meal can be absorbed in 1 hour (if it’s sweets), or in 9-20 hours (if it’s complex proteins and carbohydrates).

Time to check if your GoBe3 has enough charge to count every single calorie!
